A quiet 18th-century church in Armanitola, ringed by the graves of Armenian merchants — a breather in the middle of Old Dhaka's bustle.
The 'Pandit's homestead' in Bajrayogini village, remembered as the birthplace of the Buddhist scholar Atish Dipankar Srijnan, now marked by a memorial. There is little to see, but history lovers find it worth the detour.
The 19th-century palace of the Bhawal zamindars in Joydebpur, famous for the 'Bhawal Sannyasi' case. It now houses government offices, so it is usually seen from outside.
