Using the site

By using TravelVerseBD you agree to these terms. Most of the map, guide and planning features work without an account; when you create an account we ask you to accept these terms. The site is for lawful travel planning and sharing information; do not misuse it to harm the site or other people.

No warranty on travel information

We write guides, cost estimates, seasons, transport, permit and safety information with care, and we label how well each piece has been checked. Even so, it can change, and it can be wrong or out of date. Costs are always approximate. We make no promise that information is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose. See the “Trust” section on the About page for details.

Your own safety is your responsibility

Travel decisions, risks and costs are yours. Confirm permits, weather, transport and the security situation locally before you go, and follow the advice on the Safety page and the instructions of local authorities. Information here is not a substitute for professional, legal, medical or official advice.

Your content and licence

You keep ownership of what you write, upload or publish (journal entries, reviews, comments, contribution requests, photos). To operate the service, meaning to store, display, resize and moderate it, you give us a limited, non-exclusive licence. What you make public can be seen by other users. The licence is only for running the site and generally ends when you delete the content or your account.

You confirm that the content is yours or you have the right to post it, and that it does not infringe anyone's copyright or privacy.

Community conduct

Reviews and comments should be honest and based on your own experience. You must not post:

• harassment, threats, hateful or abusive content
• fake reviews, deceptive promotion of your own or a competitor's business, or spam
• other people's private information or photos without their consent
• copyrighted text or images you have no permission to use
• anything that tries to break the site's security or sends excessive automated requests
• fake emergency information or invented safety warnings, graphic accident or death images, or memes that target or humiliate a person
• votes you obtained by automation, multiple identities or coordination — voting is for judging usefulness, not for attacking people; votes that look manipulated may be discounted and repeat abuse may be restricted

Moderation and reports

Any content can be reported. Moderators can hide, reject or remove content, and can suspend accounts that break these terms.

Businesses and claims

Businesses such as hotels, guides and tour operators can add or claim a listing. Our admins review claims against the evidence supplied. A “verified” mark means ownership of the listing was checked; it is not a guarantee or endorsement of service quality, safety or price. Dealings, bookings and disputes between a business and a traveller are between them; TravelVerseBD is not a party.

AI-assisted content

Some content is drafted with AI help and is shown with an “awaiting check” label. AI trip plans and assistant answers can be wrong or incomplete; they are suggestions, so check them yourself before booking or travelling. The final decision is yours.

Third-party data and links

Maps, weather, photos and other material are used under third-party licences listed on the Credits & licences page. We do not control the content of external sites.

Closing and suspending accounts

You can delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service or puts other people's safety at risk.

Limit of liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss, delay, expense or injury arising from use of the information or features here. This does not limit any statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date on this page will be updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms. To reach us, use the contribute page.
