A national park, declared in 2011, around a huge old tank beside sal forest in Dhamoirhat. Migratory birds visit the water in winter, and there are walking paths through the woods.
A natural tunnel-cave inside Alutila hill a few kilometres from town, known locally as Matai Hakor. It is completely dark inside with water running along the floor, so you walk through over rocks with a torch. The hilltop also looks out over Khagrachhari town.
A permanent fish sanctuary inside Hail Haor. From the watchtower in winter you can see flocks of ducks and other waterbirds, with lilies and lotus on the water.
