A steel railway bridge over the Padma, opened in 1915, linking Paksey in Pabna with Bheramara in Kushtia. The Lalon Shah road bridge runs alongside, and the Paksey riverbank gives a view of both.

A planted coastal mangrove forest where the Bishkhali meets the Baleshwar in Patharghata, declared an eco park in 2011. Large herds of spotted deer, a raised walkway and lonely beaches such as Laldia lie beyond the trees.

A Mughal-era brick bridge over a canal at Bariura, Sarail, said to have been built for elephants to cross — hence the name. It sits right by the Dhaka–Sylhet highway, so it is an easy stop on the way.

A Mughal river fort in Munshiganj town, built around 1660 under Mir Jumla. Its large round gun platform once watched over the meeting of the Ichhamati and Meghna.

A beach scattered with coral rocks south of town along the Marine Drive. The rocks show at low tide, and it is much calmer than the town beach.

The bank of the Piyain river in Gowainghat, facing the Meghalaya hills and the Dawki bridge across the border. Known for clear water and stones, though stone extraction has changed it a lot and holiday crowds are heavy.
