A three-domed Mughal mosque built in 1741–42 at Bajra village in Sonaimuri, on raised ground on the west bank of a large tank. The district's best-known historic building.

An island grown from silt in the Meghna estuary south of Hatiya, declared a national park in 2001. Thousands of spotted deer live in the keora forest — wait quietly at the forest edge at dawn or dusk to see them. In winter, flocks of migratory birds settle on the mudflats.
