The Aricha and Paturia ghats lie near where the Jamuna meets the Padma. Before the Jamuna Bridge, the road north crossed at Aricha; ferries still run from Paturia to Daulatdia. Sunsets over the wide river are worth staying for.
A sprawling zamindar estate of seven palace blocks across nearly six acres at Baliati, Saturia. It is protected by the Department of Archaeology, and one building houses a small museum.
An old zamindar house at Teota in Shibalaya, fronted by a tall nine-spired temple. It is linked to Kazi Nazrul Islam, who met his future wife Pramila Devi here. The main building is badly decayed.
